Meetings of FAME's members
FAME conducts its Annual General Meetings each year either in early March if there isn't a FAME Festival held in January of that year OR during the FAME Festival held that January. Annual General Meetings held in March are conducted in Melbourne, Victoria prior to the rehearsal of the Melbourne Mandolin Orchestra and all financial members of FAME are invited to attend or send in proxy votes when issues arise to be discussed.
The main business of Annual General Meetings is to receive reports from FAME's President and FAME's Treasurer (to accept the financial report and election of representatives to FAME's Committee of Management. General Business with notices of motions provided in advance of the meeting may be heard and general discussion without motions may also be conducted.
FAME also conducts Special Meetings for financial members of FAME during FAME Festivals held in July (when an AGM has already been held in Melbourne during March). During these meetings feedback and suggestions to FAME's Committee of Management are discussed and motions previously advised or motions from the floor can be brought to the meeting. Only financial members of FAME are allowed to vote on motions.
