FAME's Committee of Management

Representatives from each region of Australia and New Zealand are nominated to be members of FAME's Committee of Management. While the current Constitution (created in 1991) doesn't specifically state that each orchestra can nominate one representative, the Constitution states that when a region has more than a certain number of players it may nominate more than one representative and the unspoken agreement is that if there are more than one mandolin orchestra in the region each orchestra may nominate a representative to FAME's Committee of Management.

Executive positions (President, Treasurer and Secretary) are elected from within the Committee by the Committee but the Department of Consumer Affairs in Victoria, where FAME is an Incorporated Association, dictates that the Secretary of FAME is the Public Officer of the Association and MUST be resident within Victoria. 

Most business of FAME's Committee of Management is conducted via Zoom meetings. Face-to-face meetings are held during FAME Festivals held every 18 months.
